Domestic Transport

Singapore has a comprehensive and efficient network of roads and expressways. You can get to practically anywhere in Singapore, including Sentosa and Jurong Island by road.

Another major mode of transportation within Singapore is the Mass Rapid Transit (MRT). Considered to be the backbone of the transportation system, the MRT has three main lines that run the length and breadth of the island, moving over a million passengers every day. The MRT is complemented by the Light Rail Transit (LRT), which runs within a few neighbourhoods.

Singapore has more than 30 offshore islands, some developed and open to visitors, others left untouched and unspoiled by urbanisation. These islands are connected to the main island by ferry services that ply regularly from Changi Ferry Terminal, Changi Point Ferry Terminal, Tanah Merah Ferry Terminal and the Singapore Cruise Centre.

International Transport

Situated along major air, sea and trade routes, Singapore is well-connected to the rest of the world. By land, Singapore is connected to Malaysia by two bridges, the Causeway and the Second Link. By air, Changi International Airport is the aviation hub of Asia where many major airlines maintain operations. By sea, Singapore has several ferry terminals where you will find a range of boat, ferry and cruise services that can take you to nearby Malaysia, Indonesia or even further .

Singapore Cruise Centre provides a real-time cruises and ferries scheduling system that allow you to track the vessels in and out of the port over the Internet.
